PORTFOLIO

I'm Yolanta, a former singer/songwriter turned advertising creative. With seven years in the field, my true creative journey is just beginning. I thrive on crafting work that resonates with the soul and authentically represents minority audiences.

Passionate about inclusivity, I co-founded Ogilvy Roots, a DE&I network, in 2016. This initiative, created with friends, aims to champion greater ethnic and cultural diversity in the agency, the industry, and the work. Through co-chairing Roots alongside my full-time creative role, I've boosted my confidence, improved company culture, established a supportive network for employees, and aided senior management in creating an inclusive environment.

Honoured to be nominated for "The Dot's annual creative trailblazer" by Karen Blackett OBE and authors Yomi Adegoke and Elizabeth Uviebinené, I've also been recognized as a WPP creative talent and served as a judge for 21GRAMS at the D&AD New Blood Awards 2021.

Beyond advertising, my passion extends to screenwriting. I'm in the process of crafting films and TV shows that I'd love to watch. When I'm not immersed in the creative world, you might catch me making a mess in the ceramic studio.

Rooted Magazine

A CELEBRATION OF ART, CULTURE  AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN

It all began with an idea I had to create a magazine platform that could encompass everything Ogilvy Roots-related. So I created Ogilvy’s first-ever in-house magazine with the help of a talented team.

This is Rooted, our "brave space", where we celebrate the essence of who we are. Rooted is the cultural heartbeat that keeps up with what you need to see, hear and experience. There are no constraints, we're for the culture and this is where we indulge in it.

The Four Moods Of Love

My first short film “The Four Moods of Love’’ is split into four monologues, following an intimate “diary” of a love-obsessed individual hoping to fall in love but “ghosts” of insecurity and misfortune follow her into a new relationship.

The Four Moods of Love: Heartbreak (Part 1)

Why is true love out of reach for those who want it most? Heartbreak has found her again, maybe a cry to a higher power can turn it around.

The Four Moods of Love: Desire (Part 2)

Just when she thought she’d never love again. Love comes knocking. Who is this man who has her heart beating again? Could he be the one?

The Four Moods of Love: It’s Complicated (Part 3)

How do you act when someone threatens to ruin everything you’ve built? When two becomes three. When your lover's eyes are not just on you. Will he stray?

The Four Moods of Love: Commitment (Part 4)

Finally. The stars align. Love meets her face-to-face. At the altar. Her one wish came true. But this perfect picture hides deep uncertainty. What does the future hold?

Dove self-esteem

Kids everywhere are struggling with feeling not so great about themselves—a big deal that can impact their mental health, and even push some to take their own lives. Dove, all about boosting self-esteem, wanted to help parents out by shedding light on the issue and giving them some real tools to support their kids.

Ask a girl how she's doing, and you'll probably get the classic "I'm fine" response. But let's be real, parents sense there's more to the story. They just might not know exactly what's going on.

So, we teamed up with Cartoon Network, bringing in the power of animation and music to dig deeper into what those "I'm fine" moments really mean. We let the audience peek into the minds of real girls from all over, visualising the struggles they face.

Then, we handed parents straightforward tools to help boost their daughters' self-esteem. Plus, we threw in some cool Cartoon Network content that speaks directly to the kids, making it a win-win for everyone.

Change4Life

Childhood obesity is escalating in the UK, with 1 in 4 kids aged 4-5 and 1 in 3 kids aged 10-11 being overweight or obese.

Change4life aimed to enlighten kids and parents about the dangers of excessive sugar intake. Our solution? Sugar Smart World—a fun and educational playbook.

Enter a visually engaging world invaded by the Sugar Cube Invaders, featuring Breakfast Town, Yoghurt Peak, Gulp City and Pudding Farm. We distributed this pack to 4 million UK school kids, encouraging them and their parents to tackle fun challenges, learn about sugar in their daily food, and transform their eating habits.

With the help of workbooks, stickers and maps, families embraced the Sugar Smart World idea, sparking positive changes in eating behaviour. Weekly emails sustained the campaign, even inspiring Saatchi & Saatchi's OOH and TVC.

The BEO

The Black Equity Organisation, the first of its kind in the UK, was launched to ensure that Black communities in Britain get a fair shot at progress and success. Their mission is to support economic, legal, social, and political fairness, ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity.

For their launch, they wanted a manifesto to share their mission with fellow Brits in a digestible way. We created an engaging film that communicated their goal to be a strong advocate for Black people while tackling systemic racism head-on.

Shea Moisture

Black women sometimes struggle in loving their kinks, curls and coils, without the right support. Shea Moisture wants to make that journey smoother, with products to suit every hair type, bringing confidence to its users.

In this animatic, tho never launched, we wanted women to write a letter to their younger selves. Letting them know the love they now have for their natural hair.
